Andrew and David Wood: Wet Mess

21 February – 15 March 2020

The product of a year of research and art-making undertaken in the remote Northwest, Wet Mess is an ambitious body of work which brings the spectacular excesses of mining culture pointedly home. Across the media of painting, printmaking, video and ice sculpture, Andrew and David Wood conjure an ambivalent metaphorical image which implicates the absurd, glitzy, boozy surreality of mining culture which, though remote, lies at the heart of our society.
