Specific Gravity presents a body of sculpture, drawing, image and video works that show the way big indefinite things can be embedded in small hard things.
‘Specific Gravity’, a scientific term, is a way of measuring the density of one substance in relation to another. In this exhibition, artists explore the complex interdependencies of substance in natural phenomena and history. They consider the relationship between the micro and the macro, the graspable and the nebulous, the mundane earthbound and the cosmological universal.
