Kate McMillan: Anxious Objects

11 April – 3 May 2020

Operating at the intersection of film and object, Anxious Objects is a dense, rhythmic collection of sculpture and experimental video, in which Kate McMillan reflects on the trace of lived history and memory upon the body.

Inspired by the home-made instruments of improviser Adam Bohman, the experimental films of André Breton and the unidentifiable objects witnessed in the streets of South London, Anxious Objects examines the fluidity and intuitive nature of influences in creative practice.

Please join us on Friday 10 April from 5:30pm for a talk by the artist, followed by the exhibition opening from 6:30 onwards, accompanied by a live musical performance composed by Cat Hope and performed by Catherine Ashley.
